V. Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice!
R. Let your ears be attentive to my voice in supplication:
V. If you, O Lord, mark my iniquities, Lord, who can stand?
R. But with you is forgiveness, that you may be revered.
V. I trust in the Lord; my soul trusts in his word;
R. My soul waits for the Lord; more than sentinels wait for the dawn,
V. More than sentinels wait for the dawn, let Israel wait for the Lord.
R. For with the Lord is kindness and with him is plenteous redemption:
V. And he will redeem Israel from all her iniquities.
V. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.
R. And let perpetual light shine upon them.
V. From the gate of hell,
R. Deliver their souls, O Lord.
V. Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come unto you.
V. Let us pray:
O God, Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the souls of your servants and handmaids, the remission of their sins, that they may obtain by our loving prayers the forgiveness which they have always desired. Who live and reign forever. Amen.
V. May they rest in peace.
